In 1964, I graduated from Leesville High School. I immediately started work as a clerk in an insurance agency and then a Finance Company in Leesville and continued working there until 1966 when I began a 36 year career in Federal Civil Service. I worked in Resource Management at Fort Polk, Louisiana for 33 years as a Military Pay Clerk, Accounting Supervisor and Budget Analyst, 2 years in Heidelberg Germany in Budget and finally retired in 2002 after 13 months at the Army National Guard Bureau Budget Office in Arlington Virginia. Federal Civil Service was a long rewarding career.
I was born in Leesville, La and lived there most of my life. In 1965 I married and we have two daughters, five grandchildren and two step granddaughters. In my heart Leesville is still my home but Moss Bluff is my second home. We bought a lovely home here in 2002 and live down the street from three of our wonderful grandchildren.
After being retired only a few months I decided retirement was not for me. When your life has been centered around work for 36 years it is hard to relax and find a hobby that fills all your time. I decided to attend Real Estate School and then began my new career in late 2003.
We are active members of Moss Bluff First Baptist Church and attend a couples Sunday school class where we enjoy good Bible study and lots of fellowship. We are also members of the LLL which is a church organization for senior adults.
Even though real estate is a very time consuming profession, I love every minute of it! Telling homeowners the value of their homes and showing homes to perspective buyers is a happy and fun experience but seeing their smiling faces at closings makes real estate worth the time and effort that goes into it.
